 Education Jan Seifert was born January 1975 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. He studied psychology from 1995- 2001 in Trier. Since 1996 he was employed as "Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft" in the electroencephalographical laboratory at the university in Trier. He received the degree of a Dipl.-Psych. in 2001 for a thesis (negative priming in an emotional context) at the Universität Trier. Professional career University: Jan Seifert had participated in electrophysiological research since his "early days" of studying. 2002-2005 he earned his doctorate supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and a scholarship of the "Landesgraduiertenförderung" at the Universität Trier. His research interests focus on the emotional and motivational aspects of attentional processes and methodological questions of empiricism. User experience services: In 2005 he joined User Interface Design GmbH (UID) in Germany - one of the world leading user experience companies. Since then he assisted numerous companies during their product development. He is familiar with products from different sectors based on a great number of different technologies.
